How to use melamine tableware safely?

Melamine tableware is made of melamine powder (known as 100% melamine or A5 material in the industry) according to the size of the tableware, and is made through several procedures such as cake making, coloring (according to the design style), high-temperature pressing and casting, glazing, heat preservation, grinding and polishing (removing burrs), inspection and packaging. Its appearance and feel are generally the same as porcelain, and it is difficult to distinguish without careful observation, so it is also called imitation porcelain tableware and melamine dish. It is one of the food packaging containers currently used at home and abroad.

Melamine tableware has the characteristics of stable performance (non-toxic and odorless), acid and alkali resistance (free formaldehyde content and melamine migration amount meet the standard requirements), smooth surface, high hardness and impact resistance (resistant to falling and not easy to break), and automatic arc extinguishing.

Melamine powder is made of melamine formaldehyde resin as the main raw material, mixed with an appropriate amount of pulp cellulose filler.

Qualified melamine tableware is safe to use under normal circumstances.

Melamine tableware is widely used in tableware, daily necessities, etc. It is commonly used in infant tableware and some chain restaurants, such as Yonghe soy milk in Zhangzhou, fast food, porridge restaurant trays, etc., all of which use melamine tableware.

After using melamine tableware for a period of time, it is easy to form a layer of brown spots on the surface of the tableware (i.e. the glaze, which is actually the same as the glaze of porcelain) due to the erosion of acid, alkali, fat, alcohol and other solvents, physical wear, long-term heat and other factors, thus affecting the appearance of the tableware. If you are careful, this is actually the same as our porcelain tableware after using it for a period of time. It is still safe under normal use. However, if it really doesn't work, you can consider replacing it.

The so-called normal use of melamine tableware refers to: normal eating, heat resistance of 120℃, cannot be roasted, and can hold some highly corrosive items (common soda in life is highly corrosive).
