What are the uses of melamine resin?

Melamine formaldehyde molding plastic (commonly known as melamine resin) is a thermosetting plastic made of a resin formed by the co-condensation of formaldehyde and melamine and various additives. It is a type of amino molding plastic and has the advantages of easy molding, low molding shrinkage, high dimensional accuracy, and good processing performance. Its products have excellent heat resistance, flame retardancy and good mechanical strength. This material can be widely used in products closely related to daily life.

In 1938, the Swiss CIBA company successfully developed melamine formaldehyde resin, which marked the beginning of its industrial production. In 1940, melamine formaldehyde resin began to be mass-produced. This resin is mainly used as an impregnation solution, and it is only in modern times that people pay attention to it as an adhesive. In my country, this resin is widely used in melamine tableware

Melamine resin is a high-performance engineering plastic, also known as polyurea or urea-formaldehyde resin. It is made through chemical reactions such as deamination and polymerization. Melamine has many excellent properties, which makes it widely used in various application fields.

Here are some of the main features and applications of melamine resin:

1.High temperature stability: Melamine resin has excellent high temperature stability and can maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability under high temperature conditions. Therefore, it is widely used in products, parts and components in high temperature environments, such as melamine tableware, automobile engine parts, etc.

2.Strength and rigidity: Melamine resin has high strength and rigidity, making it an excellent structural material. It has excellent impact resistance and fatigue resistance. These properties make melamine resin often used in melamine tableware, automotive parts, etc.
